Coronavirus: Look Ahead running and continuing to deliver all services

Published: 20th March 2020
Look Ahead's continuing response to coronavirus

Following our update last week, we are pleased to confirm that all Look Ahead services remain fully operational and are still continuing to deliver specialist support services across London and the South East.

As an organisation, we are planning and adjusting with a variety of measures to ensure that our services continue even if the situation were to change or worsen. We have introduced a wide range of precautionary measures over the last few weeks in line with government guidance to help limit the likelihood of the virus impacting upon our customers, services and staff teams. We are also providing information and guidance to our frontline staff about how best to support our customers at this time.

During these unprecedented times, we are especially grateful to our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to support and protect those we work with. Chris Hampson, Chief Executive says ‘Over the last almost half century, our customers have relied on us during their most difficult times. We take this responsibility extremely seriously and I am so proud of our staff who are continuing to show such dedication and commitment as we respond to this challenge together.’

Guidance for customers

Our staff are here to support you. If you have symptoms associated with Coronavirus (a high temperature and/or a new persistent cough), are within a high risk group (over 70, pregnant or have an underlying health condition) or are self-isolating for another reason, please let support staff know so they can provide you with the appropriate advice, information and support. Please use local phone numbers to contact staff where appropriate.

In order to protect customers, staff and partners from the risk of infection, we may ask for additional information when arranging repairs or any other services where you live.

If you’ve been advised to self-isolate, or you’re experiencing any symptoms and we’re due to visit your home you must let us know beforehand so the appointment can be rescheduled.

In line with the government’s guidance on social distancing, we are asking people not to visit our Head Office unless absolutely necessary and taking steps to limit visitors to our services, particularly in our care services or where we have customers that have particular vulnerabilities.

Use local contact details to contact your local staff or contact us using one of the following ways:
