Look Ahead, the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge, and the Tower Hamlets Mental Health Alliance are very pleased to invite you to an open day at the Barnsley Street Neighbourhood Mental Health Centre!
Come along whenever suits you between 10am and 4pm. In the morning, come join us for a coffee and some pastries, meet the team, and find out all about the support we provide. In the afternoon, we’ll be offering a tasty catered lunch, followed by taster sessions of just a few of the many groups and activities we offer.

If you don’t know of us, Barnsley Street is a new service providing 24/7 community-based mental health support. It was co-designed with members of the community, including people with lived experience of mental health issues.
We offer support to adults (aged 18 or over) registered at or local to the following GP practices:
• Bethnal Green Health Centre
• The Mission Practice
• Sutton’s Wharf Health Centre
• Strouts Place Medical Centre
• XX Place Health Centre
Our diverse and expert team brings a wealth of experience from the NHS and the community, and includes psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, voluntary sector and peer support workers. We aim to provide timely, person-centred and holistic support in a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive way.

- You’re very welcome to bring children with you, we know it’s the school holidays!
- We’ll be serving halal, vegan and gluten-free options for lunch, but please let us know if you have any allergies or other dietary requirements.
- We’ll have Bengali and Somali-speaking staff available. If you need an interpreter for another language or BSL, please let us know in advance so we can arrange someone to interpret
- The main space offers level access and an accessible toilet
- We’ll have a quiet space / prayer space available (level access but narrow doorways)
