Last week Look Ahead was delighted to listen as our former customer, now staff member Tyler discussed his experience of supported housing on BBC Radio 5 Live, as part of the National Housing Federation’s (NHF) Save Our Supported Housing campaign.
Tyler’s appearance is part of our wider support for the campaign, which culminated on Friday when the NHF delivered a letter signed by over 150 organisations (including Look Ahead) addressed to Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Chancellor Rachel Reeves calling on the Government to do more to champion the supported housing sector.
Tyler joined the NHF’s Chief Executive Kate Henderson on the airwaves and the pair highlighted the important role of supported housing in the lives of individuals with a range of needs, all at a lesser expense to the public purse.
