Team Look Ahead has raised more than £6,500 after completing the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon, supporting health and wellbeing activities for people using Look Ahead services.
The team took on the challenge yesterday (11 October), running through four of London’s Royal Parks as part of a shared effort to make a meaningful difference to people facing some of the greatest health inequalities in our communities.
Together a team of ten runners made up of a young Look Ahead customer, Look Ahead staff, and our contractors and partners 1st Stop and Brasier Freeth brought energy, dedication and a strong team spirit to the day.
Money raised will help provide practical and accessible opportunities such as exercise and wellbeing equipment, group activities, therapeutic gardening sessions and inclusive exercise classes. These activities can help people improve their physical health, strengthen their mental wellbeing, build confidence and connect with others.
A huge thank you goes to every runner who took part, everyone who supported the team on the day and all those who donated.
The total is a fantastic achievement—and donations are still welcome through the Team Look Ahead campaign page, donate here.
