Planned works

When we carry out planned improvement works in your home, we aim to complete them as quickly, safely and with as little disruption as possible.

The times below show typical timescales once work has started in your home. They are a guide only, as timings can vary depending on the type of property, the work being done, access arrangements and anything unexpected we may uncover.

Typical timescales

  • New kitchen: up to 15 working days
  • New bathroom: up to 10 working days
  • Window replacements: usually 2–5 working days
  • External doors: usually 1–2 working days
  • Roof works: depends on size and design, typically 1–3 weeks
  • Heating system or storage heater replacement: usually 1–3 working days
  • Electrical works: timescales vary depending on the type and extent of the work

Before we begin, we will explain:

  • what work is planned
  • how long we expect it to take
  • what access we need from you
  • how we will minimise disruption in your homeIf anything changes once work is underway, we will keep you informed and talk you through what happens next.
