Felix brightens up the holidays at Look Ahead

14 Jan, 2026

On Christmas Eve, Look Ahead’s partners from the anti-food waste charity The Felix Project played Santa, delivering a festive surprise to customers from our East London-based services. The Felix team kindly drove to partner businesses to take nutritious and quality food – that would otherwise have gone to landfill – for the people we support.

The team made a stop at the world’s most famous corner shop, Fortnum & Mason well-known for its luxury hampers. This time, the staff, wearing their iconic red coats, swapped hampers for a whopping 14 trolleys worth of food, filling a van to the brim with goodies for our customers. Felix also visited each Daylesford Organic store in London to collect surplus goods for our services.

The team stopped at several of our Tower Hamlets schemes, dropping off food to several services on our Cudworth estate, and others nearby.

Altogether, Felix delivered a range of products from cakes, pastries, scones, chocolates, and mince pies to smoked salmon, pies, fish and meat, all for our customers to enjoy over the holidays.

Hannah Lawless, Service Manager at the Barnsley Street Neighbourhood Mental Health Centre said:

It was wonderful to have the additional support from our partners at the Felix Project over Christmas, which can be an exceptionally difficult time for many people. We were able to offer customers a fantastic spread that made them feel happy and valued. Thank you!

Marcus Roberts, Senior Relationship Manager at The Felix Project said:

“It’s inspiring that so much great quality food was rescued and given to Look Ahead so it could be used by people who might otherwise have gone without, especially at Christmas.”

Look Ahead would like to thank the Felix Project, Fortnum & Mason and Daylesford Organic for all their generous support.
