Involving our customers is integral to Look Ahead. We are passionate about supporting our customers to exercise maximum choice and control over the services they receive.

Through involving customers in decision making processes both locally and across the organisation, we are able to truly personalise our services in direct response to customer feedback and input.

We offer opportunities at a range of different levels for customers to shape our services in line with their level of skill, time and personal interests.

These include recruiting, training and appraising our staff, helping to shape local services through shaping local policies and procedures, and feeding into our governance structures through our customer board committee known as the Customer Services Committee (CSC).

We are committed to ensuring customers are supported to develop the skills and confidence to get involved and have a say. We do this through specialist involvement support and customer training, which is available to all customers. We believe by encouraging and enabling our customers to feel part of the organisation, they can develop new skills and confidence that will be used long after their time with Look Ahead.
